Employers and recruitment agencies are increasingly using social networking sites to search among the possible candidates for a selection of staff, at least in the United States.
According to research conducted by Career Builder among the most common reasons for non-selection, due to the outcome of research conducted online among the various candidates, here are the five most common causes:
- the publication of photographs or information provocative or inappropriate (53%)
- The publication of content related to drinking or drug use (44%)
- bad references published online by former employers, colleagues or clients (35%)
- the candidate demonstrates poor communication (29%)
- the publication of discriminatory comments (26%).
